It’s time to start the countdown! Bob & Berts is delighted to announce the opening of Bob & Berts Preston, marking a £400,000 investment in the Lancashire city. This significant capital input demonstrates a confidence in Preston as a prime location for the continued Bob & Berts expansion in England.

David Ferguson, co-owner of Bob & Berts said, “Preston is really up-and-coming. It has a great mix of demographics, from a large student population to an incredibly friendly local community of families – making the city an ideal fit for our brand.”

The opening, which is due in the first two weeks of November, has already resulted in the creation of 25 full and part-time jobs with scope for many more in the coming months and years. These roles include management, barista, chef, and general hospitality positions.

A company priority has always been positive community engagement. Bob & Berts stores quickly become core community locations, regularly used for customer charity fundraisers, events, and group meetings. Bob & Berts is a chain of coffeeshop/eateries, founded in the coastal town of Portstewart (Northern Ireland) in 2013. In the short time since then, we’ve been shaking up the high street coffee game everywhere we go with our ‘Proper Coffee & Great Grub’ (that’s our slogan!). Unlike other well-established coffee chains, we offer a full menu of hot food freshly prepared to order, alongside our full coffee offering. This hybrid approach to food and coffee is what our customers keep coming back for, across Northern Ireland, Scotland, and now England.

As our fit-out in 82 Fishergate (opposite Primark and Lush) nears completion, we are incredible excited about getting the doors open to the people of Preston.
