We are delighted to have opened our third site in England in the wonderful city of Preston! This store opening marks a £400k investment in the city and has resulted in the creation of 30 jobs so far, made up of a combination of part-time and full-time roles in various settings. On the morning of the opening, we were queued right down the street with excited locals wanting to be among the first to check out the new store.
According to Fatima Aziz, a reporter from Lancs Live: “This cafe has it all!”
She said: “Whilst the cafe is visually a great place in the city centre to sit inside of, the huge menu is also another welcome factor of why this cafe is a great coffee spot. There really is so much to choose from with breakfast options, pancakes, waffles, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options as well as wraps, burger, salads and loaded fires. Expertly made coffees are on offer with Bob and Bert’s own roast- iced coffee and drinks are available too as well as hot chocolate, shakes and smoothies.”
Having tried and tested many places around the city, here is what the first customers (Sean and Katie) thought of the newest cafe. “We just love breakfast to be honest and we tried everywhere in Preston- we saw this was open and have been following it since it was first announced,” Sean said.
“It’s cosy and the menu is great but we also saw the opening times until 9pm which we’ve always wanted a cafe that’s open that long and a place like this as well. I love the coffee, I’m very picky about iced coffee, so I try it wherever I go but this one is strong which I like.”
Whilst waiting for their food to arrive, Katie as spoke of what she thought about the new Bob and Bert’s cafe.
She said: “It’s really pretty and really cosy, we’re sitting on this sofa which is nice after standing outside for an hour so it’s nice to have this spot. The menu’s massive and I’m a fussy eater but I can pick so many things off there that I would eat as well.”
